Dr. Allen completed his undergraduate studies at the University of New Mexico in 1980 majoring in dietetics and nutrition. He received his doctor of chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College (now called Life University) in Georgia in 1983. In 2000, he earned a master's degree in counseling from Webster University in New Mexico.
Dr. Allen opened Allen Chiropractic in Rio Rancho, New Mexico in 1984. He relocated to Monument, Colorado in 2003 and, together with his wife Anita, started Allen HealthCare Solutions - an integrative chiropractic, acupuncture, and nutritional practice.
Dr. Allen holds active chiropractic licenses in Colorado and New Mexico. He is board certified in Colorado to practice acupuncture and is a diplomate of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture (Dipl Ac, IAMA). He is board certified in nutrition with the American Clinical Board of Nutrition and was awarded diplomate status (DACBN) in 2003.

Anita Allen received her RN degree in 1990 from the Albuquerque Technical and Vocational Institute. She practiced in Albuquerque for eleven years at HealthSouth and in Tucson for three years at Eldorado Hospital and Tucson Medical Center. Her specialty is pre-op and recovery room. She has post graduate training in nutrition from Science Based Nutrition in Ohio.
She runs the office and oversees the Science Based Nutrition program.
